USS Edwards (DD-619) saw action with the Pacific Fleet at the Ennell Islands and then in the Aleutians. In November 1943, she returned to the Pacific Theatre where she screened and patrolled at Rabaul, Tarawa, The Marshall Islands, New Guinea and the Philippine Islands.
